A Rockin’ Aussie Road Trip Playlist

Music is an integral part of every road trip – you don’t want to sit in silence for the entire drive do you? We’ve come up with a rockin’ playlist that is sure to get everybody in the car jammin’ along and make the time fly right by. Some great classics included in this list are:

1. Bohemian Rhapsody – Queen

If you don’t know the words to this entire song, you’ll need to learn them before you set off on your road trip. Released in October 1975, this song hit #1 on both the Australian and New Zealand charts!

Our favourite line to sing: “Thunderbolt and lightning, very, very fright’ning me! (Galileo) Galileo, (Galileo) Galileo, Galileo figaro magnifico”

2. The Horses – Daryl Braithwaite

A true blue Aussie classic – this song hit number one on the Australian ARIA Charts in 1991, and ended up #4 on the year end charts.

Our favourite line to belt: “That’s the way it’s gonna be, little darlin’, we’ll be riding on the horses, yeah”

3. Livin’ On A Prayer – Bon Jovi

This iconic bop, released in 1986 is found in every road trip playlist in the world! You can’t go wrong with a little Bon Jovi.

Our favourite line to sing: THE WHOLE SONG!

4. I Don’t Wanna Miss A Thing – Aerosmith

Accompanying the 1998 cult classic film “Armageddon”, this song is the ultimate scream-it-out song while driving! You’re gonna need a lot of lung power to belt out the chorus.

Our favourite line to scream: “I don’t wanna close my eyes, I don’t wanna fall asleep”

5. Drops of Jupiter – Train

Imagine driving along the coast with the windows down listening to this Train classic from 2001.

Our favourite lyrics to sing along to: “But tell me, did you sail across the sun? Did you make it to the Milky Way to see the lights all faded…”
