Day 1

Go exploring to find the Moooving art

Moooving Art is a public art exhibition of life-size 3D cows lining the streets of Greater Shepparton. With over 90 cows to find, they won’t be too hard to miss with their vibrant colours and patterns. From sunflower patterned cows to cows disguised as unicorns, there is a cow personality for everyone to find!

Hungry? Grab some lunch at Noble Monks!

Situated off the main road, Wyndham Street, Noble Monks is an industrial meets contemporary space that turns into an intimate dining experience at night. The menu offers the obvious classics like smashed avo and eggs benedict for brunch that’s available all day, or you can opt for something different on the menu, like the gnocchi gamberi pollo.

Burn some energy at Kidstown Adventure Playground

If you’ve got kids tagging along, they will love Kidstown Adventure Playground. This playground is no ordinary playground – it boasts multiple play areas, a maze, train rides, giant slides and five acres of parkland to explore. There are also shaded spots and areas for picnics and barbeques if you feel like spending an afternoon in the sunshine!

Grab a beer and a bite to eat at Shepparton Brewery

Shepparton Brewery is a must-visit when holidaying in Shepparton, there is even a kids area so everyone can be entertained!  Owned by locals, Shepparton Brewery brew their own beer and serve an array of local wines. If you’re hungry, they also offer an American BBQ-style menu – our pick is the Soft Shell Chilli Crab Burger.

Day 2

Rise and shine with an early morning coffee and a stroll!

Grab a morning coffee from one of the many cafes in the main town of Shepparton, and head down to Victoria Park Lake for an easy 2km scenic walk. You can walk around the lake and admire the beautiful native flora around the area, including the 500 year old River Red Gum trees. You may even be able to spot a squirrel glider passing by!

Explore the winding Silo Art Trail

Stretching over 200 kilometres, the Silo Art Trail is largest outdoor gallery in Australia and showcases epic works of art through large-scale mural portraits painted onto grain silos. Each silo is unique and tells a story about the host town, with many of them having been painted in the 1930’s. Whilst you will need to drive between each silo, it’s definitely worth the road trip.

Explore a wine or two at Tallis Wine Cellar Door

Situated 25 minutes out of Shepparton in Dookie Hills, Tallis Wine Cellar Door offers stunning panoramic views and a delectable array of wines to match. You can enjoy a platter and a tasting next to their indoor fireplace and end your pleasant afternoon with a stroll down their own Rock Correa Interpretive walking track.
